Safety and Health Updates
Blackhawk Museum is taking all possible steps to continue to ensure the safety and well-being of our visitors, members, and staff.
Starting Saturday, October 24, the Museum will be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 5 pm.
If you or a member of your party is feeling unwell, experiencing flu-like symptoms or has been in contact with someone with COVID-19, please reschedule or cancel your reservation by sending us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your order number.
Online Timed-Entry Tickets
To ensure adequate social distancing and allow for the best possible experience, all guests and members MUST reserve online time-entry tickets prior to their visit. Per Contra Costa County guidelines, the Museum will be operating at 25% capacity, which is up to 100 visitors per two hours.
We will be unable to accommodate anyone who does not have an online reservation, so be sure to reserve your ticket today. Tickets are available a week in advance.
Cleaning and Sanitation
Blackhawk Museum has implemented enhanced cleaning regimens and increased the number of available cleaning and sanitizing stations throughout the museum. Free hand sanitizer stations will be placed in each gallery and in the main lobby. Employees will be continuously cleaning surfaces, including windows, benches, railings, restrooms, and elevators. The building will also receive a further thorough cleaning before the entry of visitors and members each day.
All guests visiting Blackhawk Museum will be required to wear a face covering that covers the nose and mouth while in the building.
Children under the age of 3 are not required to wear a mask while in the Museum.
Contactless Temperature Scans
For everyone's health and safety, all guest must consent to contactless temperature scans before entering the Museum. If a member in you party registers a temperature of 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit or higher, anyone who rode in the same vehicle as that guest will need to reschedule their visit for another day.
Physical distancing among team members and guests is important. Throughout the attraction, you will find visual reminders and employees positioned to ensure everyone is maintaining a safe, physical distance.
